Building for the future

A caregiver sits bedside and comforts patient in a clinical setting

Growing to meet our community's needs

  • Cancer Care: The new True Beam Linear Accelerator in the radiation oncology department brings advanced, more precise cancer treatment close to home for Cowlitz County patients. PeaceHealth’s Lower Columbia Cancer Center, the county’s only radiation oncology provider, delivers more than 6,000 treatments each year and serves 25-30 patients daily. The $7 million project was funded by $5 million in community donations and a $2 million investment from PeaceHealth.
  • Renovations: In late 2023, we completed the final phase of its tower restoration project, creating a modernized, caregiver-designed eighth floor with 20 private rooms, updated patient care technology, and renovated space for orthopedic education, therapy and discharge support. Funded through the community-supported “Take it to the Top” campaign, the new floor reflects PeaceHealth’s commitment to quality care in a comfortable healing environment. Other recent improvements include:
    • Ceiling lift replacements throughout Med-Surg
    • Mattress replacements throughout the hospital
    • New walk-in cooler/freezer for Food & Nutrition
