Current NP and CRNA Students: Clinical Placement Information
Looking for a clinical placement?
This page is intended for students who are already enrolled in an NP or CRNA program. Because healthcare education is dependent on clinical capacity, placement opportunities cannot be guaranteed.
All NP student clinical placement requests within the PeaceHealth Oregon Network are coordinated centrally through the Center for Medical Education & Research (CMER) in Oregon.
Before submitting a placement request:
School Requirements (Contact your school's clinical counselor)
- Active accreditation status
- Appropriate clinical objectives
- Ability to enter an affiliation agreement if one does not already exist
Oregon-based training
You first must verify that your program satisfies applicable Oregon state authorization and regulatory requirements. NP programs outside of Oregon must first obtain approval through the State Board of Nursing. Oregon requirements may vary depending on the program and educational activities involved.

The placement review process
A request for placement generally involves:
Step 1
Identification of a potential preceptor or clinical opportunity. Have that PeaceHealth caregiver contact us. jcole3@peacehealth.org.
Step 2
To begin the process, please complete our intake form at the following link: 👉 https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/Av7F5Du6EG. This form collects essential information, including your program requirements, preferred timeline, and any potential preceptor details. Once your completed form is received, our team will review your submission and follow up with next steps, including preceptor matching and confirmation of contract status. After submitting the intake form, please also send your CV via email or fax for our records.
Step 4
Verification and approval of placement request.
Step 5
Completion of onboarding and compliance requirements.
Important considerations
A willing preceptor does not automatically result in an approved placement. Approval depends on factors including:
- Specialty requirements
- Clinical capacity
- Existing learner commitments
- Compliance requirements
- Educational fit
